The truth behind your Nail Treatments….

In light of the recent news around the safely of gel nail products I would like to reassure clients and hopefully eliminate any anxiety surrounding the ‘dangers’ of gel polish. The findings reported are largely due to improper application from lack of knowledge by the user, an increase in purchasing ‘home kits’ from lockdown boom and also due to ingredients some may contain. One of the main reasons we won’t remove any product done elsewhere is we don’t know the exact ingredients used which can put us at risk as well as the client.

All nail brands we proudly use at Mirror Mirror (Gelish, Magpie, Magnetic Nails & Light Elegance) have been chosen not just because they paint well or have a good colour selection it’s because they are professional use only , reputable, respected and world wide brands that have always been 100% compliant to the EU Regulations.
 
I can confirm that the HEMA levels within all our gel products products are BELOW the EU requirements or completely Hema free and are therefore deemed more than safe for us to apply to our clients. All ingredients are listed on every bottle or pot we open in front of you and you are welcome at any point to check, we are very transparent with what we use.

Most importantly we understand exactly how our LED (we don’t use any UV nail lamps) lamps cure (dry) the product, the wattage and timings needed for a full proper cure. They are all professional salon grade use high end, ( and expensive lol) machines. Improper curing is another of the main contributors to developing a reaction.

I have actually never seen or had a client develop a reaction from a nail service (touch wood hahaha) but as we know you could become allergic to anything at anytime. You could buy a new face cream tomorrow and develop a rash or suddenly find yourself getting Hayfever when previously never suffered. But by using regulated products always brought directly from the approved UK distributors in every treatment we provide at Mirror Mirror we can conclusively say we have always done our best to minimise any potential risk for you as much as we can.
